How does the treatment work?

Cardiac Rehabilitation has 4 phases. Below are briefs of our methodologies, if you want a full description of the below, please click on the button below to download and view our detailed document.

01

Initial phase of CR occurs soon after your cardiac event or surgery. In this the goals are working with you and your family to provide education, which involves providing safe exercises to help you improve your mobility and cardiac fitness, help you maintain your sternal precautions if you had open surgery in order to accelerate your healing process, address any risk factors that may lead to cardiac events.

02

Once you leave the hospital, your cardiac rehabilitation program will continue as an outpatient facility. This lasts for 3-6 weeks and involves continued monitoring of cardiac responses to exercise and different activities. Goals include educating regarding proper exercise procedures and how to self-monitor heart rate and exertion levels during exercise. Safe return to functional mobility while monitoring the heart rate.

03

As you become more and more independent during Phase III, we would give you a home program tailored to your needs and capacity. The goal being reducing the supervision and making you more independent, increasing your exercise tolerance and monitor any negative changes.

03

Independent on-going Conditioning. T his would help maintain optimal health and prevent any further heart problems.Exercise Training Interventions which include resistance training, Endurance Training & physical activity promotion
